Those flash animations are cool, although some of the jump animations are too slow. Those animations must've taken forever to create.

Yeah, FFVI does have some of the best tunes, Searching For Friends (World of Ruin) is one the best in the game. I havent played FFV in a while. My Fave FF is FFVII

I like your grabpics, you know very well how to use flash indeed. Even your modifications fit perfectly with the piccie you're grabbing. :) I just love the "twins" picture to no end.... so sweet!  :marge: :lisa: :maggie: pics are the best :D This aside, they all look very sleek and clean.. good colors, and very smooth lines.
Did you by any chance ever did a wallpaper? It would be cool to see some with your quality! :D

The idea is nice, and though this hardly can be called the original picture (heck, we need a new title for the pictures like this! :p), it's very well done. Something between a good grabpic and original picture with interesting idea.

Aww! Nice job. I have not much to add, but their poses and expressions look very natural, and it makes the whole picture consistent. Makes you wonder what they are talking about right now. :) One of your best pictures from the "original art" folder, no doubt. Keep it up!

That one was made into a TCB header for vIX-2, I named it fired.png, which sorta gives you an idea what they were talking about.

Note, that Homer is off colour to Marge and Maggie in the second one and he only has one hair. Maggie was supposed to have blue lipstick (like in the one of them on stage) but it was too overpowering so I took it out.

Here's a pic for Simspons Fantasy, I find it funny how the sword is bigger than Maggie.

I've started on the games script as well. :P

*LOL* I find more funny the pacifier attached to the sword's handle. :p The Maggie Icon on the blade is also a good idea! If you need some con-crit: Maggie's fingers look odd (looks like she's holding the sword with clenched fists instead of clasping it), and her shoes aren't detailed enough. But her expression is priceless, very good job. :)

Good picture! The first, on what I have paid attention - unusual hairdos of Maggie and Lisa. I know it was present in show, even I know that episode, and I say they looks perfectly! Another detail - certainly, footwear of small beauties. I'm not absolutely confident that it is necessary to start wear such high-heeled shoes, nevertheless it fits nicely. Characters are very well drawn, their faces and poses; Bart has wonderfully turned out too.
Well and, naturally, your idea to unite the simblings from various time intervals - your merit! It's very pleasant for me. It would be interesting to read something like a dialogue of Lisa and Maggie of her age, about what they would began to speak? In general to learn in better way the character of Maggie.

A small trouble with prospect, I mean the "flat" staircase, but, however, it is completely not important. And how Maggie looks at her father!...Her dress has turned out very nice, and Marge I like too.

About the technique - it is made also very well, as far as I can judge, especially the Maggie-logo on an edge of a sword. And the ridiculous detail - her pacifier that looks funny.
The colour gamut you used for colouring the dress and necklace is soft and pleasant to look.
In general I like your creativity, that's a nice work!

I like the fact that you do not use traditional drawing in your art, Gary, but instead edit grabpics. I think it's a very unique style.

About the Sword pic. As always, its an edited grabpic, but the grab had so much done its more of a custom. Only the spikes, overbite and pearls are actualy from the grabpic, everything else is custom.

And it was Locke Cole (FF6) who gave the sword to her. It's part of the story where Maggie gets adopted by Locke due to arriving in a Final Fantasy world and time flows differently. (1 Month in Springfield = 7 years in Gaia, the FF World)

Sounds like a cool game script.

It's already whacky. :P

Once the script is done, I'll probably ask for help with one of the pros to make sure that the characters are actually on character. :P

Except for Maggie of course. Who knows what she's like. :P

Here's a little flash thing I did for no reason off of Final Fantasy IX's ATB system from 4F13. For no real reason I made it so that Maggie had Regen.

The script is very good. A few spelling errors, but still well put-together. The pic you made... eww. It looks really weird. It's still okay, but there's a point where a grabpic has become overused, and this is that point. Another thing, an enemy NEVER states his strengths and weaknesses, even if they are over-confident. Just keep that in mind, please.

It's there to trick the player. Rubicante in this says the exact same thing in Final Fantasy IV.

He's trying to make you believe that Lisa's ice attacks wont work. Obviously, it will. :P

EDIT: That pose has only been used once before with the sword. This one is a rip off of the last one, just to make the Twins refrences visual. :P

One new Twins pic. This ones fit into the story, just Lisa and Maggie a little older than usual with Maggie walking away from an argument angrilly.

And two Grabpics.

All three are nice, the first especially for the matter it involves plot and a little of BG, but i must say that my heart skips at the second one. Just plain Lisa cuteness. :lisa: :)

Very colourful pictures! Both gary20 and gary21, so much details you've traced, made them look finished. The second pic' plot is weird a bit, that must be a serious variance between two simblings, since they handle all that steel. ;) I hope things will turn out without bloodshed. :)
The first one is funny, really, why they made such dissatisfied faces? :) Again I like Maggie' style in your pics.

Pacifier on her sword in gary21 looks so weird and funny :D Sword looks broken where her hand holds it, but anyway, i like this picture very much. And first pic looks nice too.

In the second, there's two ways it could be taken.

1. They're training. :P
2. Bart and Maggie are fighting each other because Maggie doesnt reconise him. And Bart just stalls Maggie while Homer and Lisa go find Marge (playable in Simpsons Fantasy)

This said, ALM, i'm looking forward to see how this is coming out. Maggie's "battle bitmap" is well done! Also, for what i can see, the walking sprites aren't half bad, given the little pixels you have to work with! nice job!

Even still, I cant help ya. I dont really write many fics anymore, and if I did I'd rather just write my own than help someone else. There's only one fic I'm helping on and thats called "The Key"

You cant expect your first fic to be a huge success as long as a couple of people read it is good enough. I never thought Twins for example would get the amount of feedback it did. I just did it for fun. ;P

Yeah, it was drawn in MS Paint. But since this computer only has BMP, I manually put in PNG and it still technically remained as a BMP.

Nice work, though the difference between the character age and behavior is very noticeable. I'd try drawing some grownup Maggies. :) Anyway, technically it's a very good work, I can't see any nitpicks. The outline smoothness is perfect.

I'd exchange the necklace and bowtie colors and add some extra details to her shoes.
And a really small nitpick: why her dress' sleeves have different color?
But those are small things, she looks very cute, and a nice pose :) Also an interesting detail with the way she holds her hands, I always liked that "tangle" in the show.

The design isnt technically mine. It's Rebekah Jewell's. She's making the battle sprites for the game, so we agreed to use her design for Maggie instead of mine.

They're from different fics. Maggie with the Green Pearls comes from The Simpson Twins, while Maggie with the Blue pearls comes from a design Rebekah Jewell (Doh on MT2) made and we agreed to use that design for Simpsons Fantasy which is a game I'm trying to make, though there are Twins references in Simpsons Fantasy, but the colour of Maggie's pearls doent suddenly become green. :P

This is just a parody of one of my earlier pics, I dont plan on using it for anything. Which is why it doesnt have my name in the filename.

So if anyone wants to stick it one some other site, just PM me. I wont be putting it on TCB.

In either case, I appreciate the picture. It's not much new as far as I can tell, you just took one of your earlier drawings and added black wings, but it's not bad at all. I think you should try sketching once again, really. :) Remaking existing pics is easy, but people appreciate original drawings much more. Even here, her wings look nicely drawn to me, maybe even nicer than the rest of the pic, because I know you made them by yourself.

I've said this before, I'm not going to add details to the feet because it isnt my design for her. Rebekah Jewell and I agreed that we'll be using her design for Simpsons Fantasy rather than mine, which TBH, is rather plain.

Nice! Two nitpicks though: 1) Eyes. If you want to give color to Simpsons pupils, probably you have to keep the pupil black (it looks weird otherwise), and just surround it with the circle of needed color. I'm not sure about that - never tried - but the central part should be always black IMO, even in Anime it's always black. And 2) Shading, this picture just pleads for some shadows and lights! :) It's still a great pic, and it looks original to me. Nice work.

Eyes - Look at my avatar and you'll see why they're green. :P

The hairdo could've been a bit smooother but all the rest is marvellous. I love her face expression:-)

The last sentence sounds cruel :D What about finding any screenshot from the show featuring, say, Marge full-height, and just copy the needed parts from it? The result might be good, and you'll get even more of sketching experience. I like your last drawing, her eyes are much better looking, and nice job with tracing, coloring and shading. The only thing that I wanted to nitpick at, is that her legs meet each other at the top. That looks anatomically wrong, there always should be a gap between them, otherwise the character will rub them sore walking...

It's always hard to draw a full character, Simpsons characters have proportions more or less close to real human ones, and it's so hard to keep them straight, comparing to faces or hands proportions. Anyway, just keep up with sketching. It was one of your first attempts, of course it might look wrong. That's normal, just don't stop on it. :)

Completely agreed with Dag, please keep it up, it's not awful mistake (honestly, i think even with such legs she'll be good if she wouldn't have that line between breasts, which making them looks so big). I can definitely say, that I can't draw such interesting and unusual character, and you've done this rather well, so don't remove her legs, please :) It'll be nice to see new original pics from you!

Agreed, keep going with it ALM :) Yes, Bra's right, the only reason her breasts look so disproportionate with her legs is because of the line between them. Hope to see more of these pictures from you.

My oh my... What an outstanding picture!:-) All those emotions and poses and dynamics - everything's great! The only... er... nitpick (yay! I've learned a new word!;-) is... are... the hands. Maggie's got a strange lump on her right palm (left palm to us) and what is that between bart's thumb and forefinger? A spare finger?%)

Yeah, and the way the camera's situated made me think they were standing on a sloping roof. If they aren't how come Bart stands at such a strange angle to the floor?

Nicely done! This reminds me of the scene in "My Sister, My Sitter" when Lisa was on her bed, about to leap at Bart... except of course this time it's Maggie :) I've always like the expressions of anger on the Simpson girls' faces, it makes them look especially cute :D

Heh!   Yes that is cute, a great expression and her pose is very well done too.  I think Bart's head looks OK bearing in mind the tricky angle, the thing that might be making it look a little strange is the top line of the nose extending past the cheek bone but it's a minor detail.   It's a great dynamic picture and as ever, the show style colouring and line work are spot on.

Jokes aside, the improved version looks better, nice work. :) To me, Bart looks okay (a tough angle, yeah), and Maggie looks great. Perspective? It's okay too imho, the floor/wall connection line has a high angle, but it's still possible if you're standing not too far from it and are looking down.

Changelogs are fun. :P And I deleted my bugtracker and replaced it with a single thread on MT2. :P

I'm not a particular fan of modified originals, and the use that's being made here (well, i'm a nut... if i were me, no one should use nothing but self produced material but... me talking!  :red: ) but you did a good work with the maggie tracing (i'd tone down the hips and legs a bit indeed).

As for the grabs from the vogue magazine.. wow, those are well done, very much. Clean and professiona. I wish you let Lisa the hat she had in the original second grab though :) That was very cute.

I thought the hat that Lisa had looked too much like a garbage bag so I took it out and manually replaced them with spikes. Maggie was the same, the hat was too distracting so I took that out too.

No offence, it's just my strange feeling, but with this pose and face expression she looks like.. dunno... like she holds some kind of shovel and going to kill some nasty rat or something. With sword, even when she is angry, she looks very nice, sweet and a bit childish, it fits her image more, she is cute little warrior then. You've done good job, but however, it's Bart's weapon :)

Good one, I like! Maggie looks a bit out of character, I can't even explain why, but she's still very cute in this appearance. A small nitpick: Bart's legs. It's noticeable that you used a grabpic for his upper part (The Otto Show, no? ;)) and added legs, but they should be a tag bigger, and not so clenched. The background is accurately done, and the idea is nice. :) Keep drawing!

I added the legs from a couch gag, otherwise Bart's legs would've been flat on the ground.

I could easily have done Maggie in the standard blue pointy-hemmed dress, but I didn't wanna. Story explanation? Maggie likes dressing fancier than Lisa for band practice. :P

NOTE: In Twins, Maggie wears a blue dress as standard, in Simpsons Fantasy she has the pink sleeved dress.

To Bart: Too bad, because you're restricting yourself a lot. What if you want to draw something completely new, and won't be able to find similar moments from the show to adjust them? I like sketches more than altered grabs, because they fully show author's fantasy. And if you say that only because the sketches don't turn out too well - don't worry, it's okay. Each next drawing will be better than the previous anyway, practice is the key. :)

Hehe. The room is actually supposed to be on fire as Homer, Marge, Bart and Maggie burst into the room, but I couldnt be bothered to draw the fire. :P

The basic story is in Simpsons Fantasy is that Homer, Marge and Bart went into the house (which is supposed t be on fire) to find a girl who's trapped in there, and Maggie went in after them, in that room they find Ifrit. Lisa's outside trying to keep the fire under control by casting Blizzard spells.

Hey, it is a fantasy game afterall and Lisa's the Black Mage. :P

Here's Lisa's daughter from The Simpson Twins II: Time Travelers. There's a few character traits about her that I want to establish.

This is her "altered" design which story wise was voluntary. She dyed her hair brown, straightened it and put it into a pony tail, ditched the pearls and traded it for a bracelet, she also gained a pair of hover shoes to help her run faster for those time paradox preventing situations. :P

More will be revealed when I actually finish writing the fic, I've only just started.

She looks great, anyway. If concrit is welcome, her neck is too long, and her haircut is too thin, if Lisa's daughter has hair similar to Lisa, they would occupy much more space. Everything else is close to perfect. Love her concentrated look, those little details like earring or bracelet also make the character look better.

She did. But like I said, she changed it by dying it brown, straightening it, and putting it in a pony tail. This is AFTER that change. :P

The neck is only long because she's not wearing pearls. :P Again, the image is built off of Lisa herself.

Even though people are encouraging it like you are, the most important critic one can have is oneself, and my hand drawing skills pretty much went down the crapper five years ago when I left school. (I did actually pull off some awesome stuff in my day). So I doubt you'll be seeing anything like that anymore.

MGS3 Parody - great one! The collage is not very complex one, but I love the combination of colors you've chosen. The whole picture looks well composed, and the title is added perfectly too.

sdfgnm (?) - from all parts of this picture, I liked the silhouette on the moon the most. I know the chances are rare, but I still hope you've drawn it yourself... Everything else looks rather random, besides, I've seen those parts already. So... the moon is the winner. ;)

You're probably wondering about the file name. I just pressed random keys for about a second and see what I generated and clicked save. I generally use it when moving between Flash and Paint Shop Pro, it would be named gary36.gif otherwise, and will be when I upload it to TCB. :P

I do hope to try and turn the concept "When Realities Collide" into a fan fiction. I've created the framework document for it to go into TCB already. :P

But the last picture... eww, Gary, don't you see the mistakes in it? I'm not saying anymore that little girl looks funny with lipstick (and even scary when it's blue), but Lisa, who's the source for this Maggie image, has different proportions in the show. Bigger body comparing to her head, longer limbs... bigger eyes maybe. A bit more "human" proportions overall. I'll better look at your MGS covers again, which are great. :)

Yeah, the lipstick looked weird, so I took it out. As for the legs, maybe it's the boots but here's the source framegrab I used, the overall height hasn't changed.

Really cute pic, Gary.  I find Lisa and Bart extremelly small, eventhought when they are on perspective.   Colors are very similar to thos from the show as wll the characters, but whats happening to baby Maggie?  I hope is nothing to serious.

Again, nice pictures. The first one looks almost flawless, just two things makes you look closer: thin necks (both Maggies) and too lean fingers, especially "good Maggie" has. Aside from that, good piece of art.
The second one is great! My only complaint is that Hibbert, Homer and Marge all have exactly the same facial expressions and their mouths open the same way :D that looks funny. Simpson kids, instead, turned out nicely. You could do a better job with details on bed and that device above it, but you made up for that with that bit of landscape outside. :)

The story helps understand the situation a little better, but no, it's nothing too serious. Just a paradox of sorts.

That was intentional as all three are surprised about what they just saw so they all have their jaws dropped. You cant see Bart and Lisa's expressions, but you can imagine them having the same "WTF?!" look. :P

Lisa holds the gun is a rather weird way... also, her hand looks like she's wearing a thick yellow glove. Perhaps it's because her fingers are too thin comparing to her palm. Her fingers should be stubby! :p

Simpsons Fantasy IV gives Lisa her own sword, The Sisterhood, here she is with it.

It is purposely designed to resemble Tidus's Brotherhood from Final Fantasy X.

I wrote Gilgamesh into Simpsons Fantasy IV. :P and what's more in Final Fantasy XII Gilgamesh is voiced by John DiMaggio who does Bender.

Well, in FF12, Gilgamesh uses fake versions of the weapons. Since for example, The Buster Sword acutally has fake written on it, and has 4 matieria slots, the Revolver he has, has a Chocobo on it rather than Griever and the Brotherhood has two hooks rather than one.

Not to mention that Wakka and Kimarhi in FFX are also Bender, again in FF12 Judge Zecht is voiced by Phil LaMarr who does Hermes and Vamp in Metal Gear Solid 2 and 4.

I never really got too far in FF12, (I'm still in the Narbarnia Dungeons), so in Simpsons Fantasy IV, Gilgamesh fights Bart, Lisa and Maggie on the Big Bridge after storming the bridge under Galuf's orders. In true FFV Fashion, Clash on the Big Bridge would play if it were a game. :P

If I can give Lisa Tidus's sword, why not go one step further and have Lisa dress up as Tidus.

I hate to be criticizing again, but once again, Lisa's head and Lisa's body mismatch, both due to wrong size and bad positioning. And you've used Lisa's head from existing pic... *is having awful visions about Gary chopping Lisa's head off for the sake of another picture* :/
I'm not sure about others (although lack of replies talk by itself), but to me, even unprofessional, but original art, is much better than new grabs or their modifications. Please :)

I've already said that my drawing skills suck, so for that reason, I wont be doing any actual drawings. I've NEVER been good at drawing people.

Yes, you said that many times, and I many times replied to you, that drawing skill aren't something you get born with, and that making grabs won't improve your drawing skills, only to the certain level but not higher. If you want to make better Simpsons pics (and since you keep making it, I assume you want that), you have to draw. It's okay if your sketches suck. Mine aren't better anyway. :) But with each sketch you'll get more skilled.

Serge, please not this again. If Gary wants to modify grabpics instead of drawing sketches, then let him. I don't think they're unoriginal - he didn't draw it himself, but it's interesting to see how well he is at modifying existing pictures to create new ones.

I wouldn't say something like that... especially about the lack of replies. There are plenty of reasons why someone wouldn't reply, it doesn't mean that the picture is uninteresting or poorly done. I don't see anything wrong with it, but you know I hardly comment on art anymore.

Gary, despite what Serge may say, I think your grabpics are well done and well modified. Don't mistake my lack of replies as being unimpressed. I simply don't post unless I have something to say.

That's interesting! Maggie doesn't speak, but she sings. She doesn't go, but she superb moves on a stage. Forgive me for my irony. Simply in your pics there's not enough age difference between sisters. Maggie looks older than sheself usual, but Lisa and Bart have not changed. Enough criticism. Quality of the picture is excellent. A quite good background. Magnificent portrayal of characters.

That was the idea, since Maggie is Lisa's age. It's a slightly alternate reality.

Someday the Dream will End
Lisa's being mind controlled into fighting Maggie, but Maggie doesn't want to. This one is set in the year 5008 when Springfield is in ruins and features pyreflies flying around similar to Zanarkand in Final Fantasy X.
