Welcome!  :D

Nice pics MC.
So Your Lisa Simpson has a simple shading on the head and body. ( which I like, I must add )
Though the pupils are a little big, that can be improved on. ;)

Is That Really Me 2 is also cool. I like the water-ish effect you've got going on. :D

Gazing In Wonder Lisa is probably my favroite. I like how you have her an actual dress and did a background.
Same thing with the pupils from the first picture. :)

Keep up the artwork and welcome to LTS! :D

Ouh! Very nice Maggiecute!

First picture (SoyourLisaSimpson):
That is drawn well, may I ask what techneque to draw you use? You dont seem to have any rub out lines so, suggests freehand. Either way, its very clean. The left Lisa Is quite well done, I'd recomend leveling her dress line a little more horizontal, but 'part from a few other nit picks, thats bang on!
Right Lisa seems too be leaning a little too left, like she's going to fall over, but she's forgiven for being drawn so beautifully  :lisa: Her shoes are out of proportion, the left shoe shouldnt be before the right, unless it was intentional. But besides that, nice picture!

Second picture (Isthatreallyme2):
Wow, loving the water effect! Thats very well done artisticaly, even with the jagged lines its recognisable. Well done!

Third picture (GazinginWonderLisa):
The title very much describes the picture :D
Nice wing designs, however there are more problems with this picture. Her head is a little too large (or her body too small), the arm is short and with picture one, as SpringfieldHorror suggested, the pupils are a tad big.
BUT, its a very cute picture :) Well coloured too, using coloured pencils isnt that easy (for me :p) so kudos!

And ofcourse, welcome to the community :)

Heya Maggiecute!

I remember your first drawings... you have improved a lot since then!
The first drawing, with Lisa and that other girl, is especially impressive, because it looks like drawn "on the fly" to me (without construction lines), but still has very good proportions. I agree about huge pupils though.
About two other drawings - awww! :)

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art
Post by: Maggiecute on January 24, 2007, 14:02
I have Always Drawn my Pictures with Huge Pupils thats my style but I do agree Lisa's head is to big, For when Drawing the first Picture I just used a Drawing Pencil and drw the lines very faint then when I was happy with the finished design I drew over it in Pen, I do also agree that Lisa is lent over to the side to and her the position of her feet.

The Girl Lisa is standing with is The Simpson Girl that I made up called Monica

Very nice to see your work here, Kat, and i'm very happy to say that from your first pictures, you improved surely a lot!  Better understanding of the proportions, more uniform lines and overall, pretty pictures! :)

If i may take one favorite, i gess it would be "Is This Really Me" picture with Lisa reflected in the water. I was impressed by how well you reproduced the effect with using just jagged lines, and by the overall concept of the picture.

Keep up the great work, and i sense that SR might have another gallery soon ;)

Thanks Alot for your Support and Comments

A few more Pictures

1. Here is an Old Picture that I did after reading Lisa Fitzgerald
2. I drew this Picture of Marge as a Mermaid back in 2006
3. This Picture is on SR but I wasn't sure if it was Lisa or Maggie
4. The Last Picture that I'm going to post today was aslo drawn back in 2006 and went with a Script that I abandoned, A Four Year Old Maggie is Showing a Fifteen Year Old Marge what she can do with her hair.

Hello! You have a good drawings, I would like to say because of the rather original style. The wonderful attractive faces looks very cute :) especially in "Gazin Wonder Lisa" and "So your Lisa Simpson". The big pupils do their contribution. "Is That Really Me" looks very well done, all the divorces and ripples are made realistic, that's a good job you did here.
The pic LisaFitzgerald looks just very sad but still it have it's grace. I have just one remark - the lower border of eyes should not be drawn if eyes are closed... Then the pic is good yet very sorrowful :(
"WingedLisaAngel" i like her bare feet :p And Lisa is quite nice here with her wreath. "LisaorMaggie" - i'll do the assumption it's Marge ;) cause it's only she has such long hairs. Well, it would be and Lisa too :D Love her expression! The dress looks just superb spreading on the ground!
"Maggie4andMarge15" - that's originally! 15 old Marge looks interesting and uncommonly. Nice fringe you made for her! And so does Maggie, as she express the her sisterly love (they are sisters here, right?) Looking in the mirror they looks so good.
In all I just want to say i like your drawings and wish you to do more of it if you have time or feels need to draw :)

Thanks for your present! Nice colour decision. I would like to say it looks stylishly. The black-white contrast silhouette is well supported by interspersings of red and yellow. Remarkable gift. :)

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art
Post by: Casper on February 06, 2007, 14:59
I've got some catching up to do...

Lisa Fitzgerald
A simple picture, but it does show one of the more emotional aspects of the story. Her arm is a little wonky, and the hand could be classed as 'flat' but, in practice these will disapear :)

Marge Mermaid
Heh! Nice idea :D And well done for not putting Lisa there ;) I think this role is much better suited for Marge as the green dress is a very good mermaid-ish colour :p
I think the waist, hips and legs could do with some thought as, I think Marges waist in this picture is too wide. She should look more slim, although with the same size hips. But otherwise very good!

Lisa or Maggie
The creases in this picture are well placed. Her hair looks good and suits the dress, as well as the necklace :)
If I'd have to choose one, I'd say its Maggie  :maggie: No reason :)

Maggie 4 Marge 15
Hmm, strange idea but, you've drawn the hair well :) Marge's hand is, well, backward. But it is hardly noticeable, and doesnt focus away from their selves.

Winged Lisa Ribbons
Wow. Lisa-shaped Batman image in the sky !
(quote by mmaavv)
Hehe!! That was the first impression it gave me  :gigi:

Its a very nice picture, after a hard look, I'd love to see this design on the front of a Christmas card  :lisa:

Thanks for sharing the pictures, even if they where drawn last year. Your doing well, keep it up! :)

Keep it up! I look forward to more. :D

your art is very beautiful…  :)  thanks for your drawing…  :)  it is a sketch that demonstrates to your talent and your energy ;)…   you use “rules” for the drawing and the subjects that you use are very pretty… lines has force and the subtility of Lisa in each drawing is reflected of joy… :D

Thanks Everybody!

Here is some more Art

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art
Post by: Casper on February 20, 2007, 18:38
Hmm, I cant say this is your best work, but you've put effort in so I'll give effort back :)

I'll start with the chair. The legs need to be aligned, in real life they arnt perfectly in line with each other but its close enough for you to just stick a ruler below them both and level them out. But good job in trying to make the chair look 3-D :)
Maggies pupils again, are rather large. I like her hair though, its a long and ruthless dispute onto which of the Maggie hair styles is 'THE' futrure Maggie hair style (which of course is completely pointless), but I like this. Her dress is a little low on the chest and her feet look like they have three toes ( :gigi: )

BUT, I hope you think of this as constructive, I'm not trying to put your picture down at all. I think its a great attempt at something I've never actualy managed to acheive properly :D

Keep drawing, and good luck :)

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art
Post by: Dagdamor on February 21, 2007, 07:25
Aw, another sweet picture. :) I like her expression, and even if the chair looks rather deformed, Maggie's proportions are alright. Heh, for some reason she looks like wrapped in a towel, not wearing her dress... but it looks cute indeed. You proved your nickname once again with this pic. :D Nice job, I look forward for more.

Maggiecute
LisaWingnut and LISAWINGNUTgirl Looks nice too, i'll speak that second one is better than previous one but... they are very similar and it renders bad service. Anyway it's an independent work and as you have written it concerns to Lisa related story. I can't make my decision what picture is pleasant to me more. :D  First one has it's pure gloom atmosphere and i like the precisely traced contour of Lisa' hairdress, whilst the second one pleasant with it's deep blue night sky and, well, the wings contours are looks much "serious" , without extra cuteness. In my vision the LISAWINGNUTgirl is even more "demonic" here due to specific sensation that Lisa towers above us with her spread wings. Hope to see next ones by you.

Thanks Alot!

This Picture is Me but as A Simpson, I drew it in 2006 and did a more recent version but seeing as the cable hasn't come I couldn't post it.

Here it is Version 1

The Pupils are rather big, I drew this one when I did The Simpsons with big pupils.

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art

That's very nice, Maggiecute! :) The big pupils are not a big issue... since the lineart is very solid all throughout.

Proportions are also very good, if this picture needs something, is only a little splash of colors :)

And a nice wrinkle at the corner of her lip-line. :)

Here are a few more Sketches:

1. This one comes into the Sundial story that I am writing, It's Lisa showing two different expressions.
2. Another Sundial Picture.

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art
Post by: Dagdamor on April 01, 2007, 19:22
The second picture - I do like :) it's clean, looks good and all of the kids show different expressions. Con-crit: Bart's hand looks like he has five fingers (with the 5th one hidden behind the guitar). Also the picture is a bit tilted, but that's okay. :) I like Lisa's unusual hairstyle here!

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art
Post by: Shadow Nait on April 01, 2007, 20:51
Maggiecute
Yes, the second picture is good, i like very much Lisa's hairs too. That disorderly prominent little locks made her to look very nice. Maggie's half-closed eyes - just brilliant detail! As if she get deadly tired by stupid world and probably her senior sister. :p My advice - pay attention to Lisa's neck, it looks a bit thick while her legs too thin. Bart's eyebrow - that's a ridiculous part,  looks serious. First (Sundial1) - oh, I really love the left "variation" of Lisa, she so sweet adorable here! :lisa:

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art
Post by: G.H. on April 01, 2007, 21:46
Hmm... in the second picture the guitar is a bit wonky looking, much too small, and the strings cut off just above the rosette  Other than that, nice work :D

I have some new art because my scanner came!

1. After reading the Fic "Gently" I thought it such a good story that I did a picture for it.
2. I apoligize for the blurred picture.
3. I had a go at drawing Lisa in Anime.
4. Winged Lisa and Homer.

Maggiecute
Yay, new good art!

Gently Pic - scary, but well done :) For some unknown reason, I liked the picture on the wall (the family one), even if it's an unfinished secondary detail... still, artists rarely pay attention to background pictures. Shaking Lisa looks very impressive too - great expression, and that monster's claw is a great detail too.

Angel Lisa - it's nicely drawn, but was scanned not too well. Her wings are looking so very dishevelled :D

Anime Lisa - ah-ha, now I know, to make a character look anime-ish, you should replace round eyes with the square ones! :p *is kicked both by Marco and Kath* She looks kinda cute anyway, though I'm not too much into anime.

Winged Lisa With Homer - my popular drawing in this pack! I really like it, the scene is cute, and both Lisa and Homer look on-model aside from some small proportion nitpicks. I like the idea of Lisa playing with Homer (I hope she isn't trying to lift him up though! She isn't mighty enough for that :p), they do that so rarely in the show. Awesome!

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art
Post by: G.H. on May 28, 2007, 01:32
Maggiecute
Aww, all wonderful pics :)

Angel Lisa's wings are a bit wonky looking, they seem to stick out more than I'd expect them too, but otherwise the picture is well done :) As for the rest they are all nice, except for proportions maybe on "Angel Lisa and Homer" (Homer being a bit too small) and anime Lisa is something that I'm not really used to seeing  But nicely done by you!

As always, sweet pics :)

Great work with the face expressions: at "cloudlisawings" she looks relaxed and womanly, at "flocoloured" - funny and lively, and at "present" - really peaceful and humble. Looks like she prayed or meditated. Proportions are a bit wrong, but atmosphere, as always,
awesome.

Thank you for the great new pics MaggieCute and of course for the beautiful present. She looks so fluffy and heavenly there... you definitely improved your skills! For example on Flocoloured you had a very interesting hairdo idea without messing up her head shape (which often happens when playing with her hair, hiding a perfect sphere), and on cloudisawing, as has been said, she looks grownup, serious and quite attractive.  You're widening your range! :)

It looks very nice, MC- :) I dunno if your intention was to make Maggie look so young, cause the very big head gives out that impression. Nonetheless, you're developing some nice tracing-coloring skills too. Keep up the practice, draw lots. :) This is the most important thing.

Unusual perspective, but she looks nice. Good detail with the shadow line on her dress, it adds volume to the picture. Like Marco said, keep practicing, your drawings become better and better (even if this one was based on a grabpic) :)

I suppose her pacifier should have another shape - right part should be a bit more thick.
But she looks nice :) You probably need more practicing with shading to make it softer, but I myself cannot make grabpics at all, so respect for your work, keep trying, this pic is not bad at all.

Aw! Sweet scene, and well drawn.
Although Lisa is apparently 15 year old in the story, she still looks like eight (rings aside) on your picture. But that's nothing wrong, or probably that's just me :) And Lilly looks adorable, why not also draw the scene with her pulling Lisa's hair? :)

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art

Maggiecute
Wow, now with Lilly and Monica she has 3 little sisters! Poor Bart, so much little girls would be around :D Both girls you've drawn look cute, especially newborn Lilly. I doubt that woman who gave birth 3 hours ago could fly on the plane or that all things for baby would cost only $50, but I suppose it doesn't matter for this pic. There are some distorted proportions, but it's cute, as always, expressions are very nice!

Why so many people usually choose the same moment, btw? The story has a damn lot of not any less emotional moments. Lisa's life with her new family, the court, the scene with Jack in the very end... all that can be great ideas for the fanart.

Good work :) although I'm more addicted to Lisa's (or nowadays Maggie's) hairstyle.

Funny and cute, it's weird how well this angelic accessories match this unusual funny hairdo. Heck, it even look a bit like a wedding costume, white colour is very good for her.
Very interesting work! Lisa looks so beautiful, childish and cherubic!

Thanks for posting, you cheered me up :)
Very-very-very cute drawings! Diamond and Robby especially, so childish, happy and sweet. Hugging Tansy one has a special friendly mood, I like it!
Only Diamond's right hand on fullbody pic has a gap, seems that line was accidentally erased :) But it's not a big deal.
I hope one day you'll put all this sweet characters at one big cheerful picture. Keep it up!

Wow... all four sketches look good, but the second one especially impressed me. My only nitpick is big pupils and her left arm (the distance from the elbow to fingers should be more or less equal to the distance from the elbow to the shoulder). But it's a great sketch, very clean and complex pose with good proportions, her expression is also nicely done, and I like that she smiles so optimistic. :)

Maggiecute, you're definitely improving!

Hey, these are some great pictures :) I can see already that your style is becoming much smoother, more clear and easier to see. The lines are more pronounced, and your proportions have vastly improved since I first looked at some of your art. Your characters are very cute looking, as well :) Although Eric has some scary hair

Nice job redesigning Diamond, too. She looks very pretty :)

Oh my. Diamond is extremely cute, especially in the second picture:-) I like her pose, it's very lovely because it's natural. Eric's cool, too, but I'm just not into handsome boys, so I can't really judge;-) I liked Robby fellow though. How old is he? judging by his height, he looks Maggie's age. I mean, today Maggie's:-) Looks like a perfect friend for our special little sniper:-)

Angel called Lisa is very nicely done, though I can't get rid of the thought that she overdid it with a hirdryer:-)

I really like your Diamond character, especially the fact that you didn't take the traditional approach with her hair (ie: spikey). The expressions are done well too, they add more depth and give a little insight about the characters' personalities.

I like the big pupils in your pictures, they make for double cuteness, though I think it makes the characters look... high on something. But meh :P

I like your picies they alvays have some very recognizable good aroma :) it looks fresh every time you look at it.

Diamond have expressive and pleasing appearance, nice job you have done with her hairdo and face, I like that details you developed like T-shirt design or some small dogs by her side :p Second one with sitting Diamond is almost perfectly developed, I mean her pose is believeable and the way she's sitting there and just looking at you is charming, that's a nice heartwarming picture, thanks.
Other pictures: Eric has good expression and extremely thick hair, his pose well shows his character which is mocking and vital yet measured I suppose. Robby - another personage I never used to know, but he looks quite well, some details has bought my sight like his hair came out of the hood.

Marge: Monica keep your coat on, it's Fall and it's cold out there...
This phrase alone makes me go "aww" :)

A wonderful drawing, I don't have much to say about it - everything was already said, I don't want to repeat others... but it looks cute, original and you did a good job with the shading. The whole picture looks a bit "skewed", like Monica might lose her balance (another possible meaning for the title eh? :p) but if it's the biggest mistake I can find, then the picture is well done. :)

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art
Post by: SimpReal on September 02, 2007, 20:27
The picture looking skewed is a very common mistake especially for beginner artists, and it's given by a wrong posture basically... the wrist is held in place while the hand moves and that makes the drawing tae an angle as to follow the curve that the hand makes when following the wrist.
That, or it's just because the right handed usually tend to go right :D

The picture, as everybody said MC, is very sweet and you're adding ver much needed details to your characters. you're starting to develop a nice style! Keep on going.

Sorry for my delay in responding - but your picture looks great. Though slightly slanted to the side, she looks adorable with her coat on. Hey, good job!
There are some little mistakes with proportions (nose is a bit too big, for example), but you've done hands and legs very well. Face expression is very cute, but it's hard to understand, why such a bookworm looks not in the book, but at something else. Additional details or any explanation would be appreciated :)

That sketch looks nice. I like how you showed her here, so dreamy and vital at the same time :) It seems that she read some book or magazine (I only hope that it is not terribly dull women's ones like "Cosmopolitan" or such) I like how you drawed her legs, as if she bend her knees and her hips is just perpendicular to the observer. And of course your trademark-pupils is noticeable as always. :D

Title: Re: Maggiecute's Art

*giggles* :D Very cute scene! The way Lisa always looks so happy with a book in her hands always puts a smile on my face. :)
I love how her hair usually looks in teen versions, and this one definitly stands tall! The only thing I can see that looks a bit off is the book. Not that I care about that though. :p
Proportions look perfect to me, nothing wrong with the nose or pupils, I think everyone should have their own style, rather than following a strict guideline. It looks different, not "wrong". And your style is ever so delightful! ;)

Aw, cute! :) Although Lisa does anything but reads the book that moment (:p), she still turned out very nice, good work with proportions and her expression. A nitpick: the book's spine lines should be parallel, unless the book is living its last days. Also, I'd spread her eyelashes, especially on her left eye, a bit wider. That's all with nitpicking :) Very good sketch, I hope to see it colored soon.

Coincidentally, (but as Kat already knows) Jimmy Heenan on MT2 already coloured it. I made an extra SWF for Kat to use as well and as I already said. It is possible to use both. :P

hey that is nicely done and i dont care whos pictured there actually, lisa or somebody else. its done with care. on your place, id probably make her fingers thinner and more separated, and erase some unnecessary folds from her dress. but thats a little thing. besides that, she looks like an angel, you did it well. nice job Maggiecute.

Maggiecute
Your new pictures are very nice!
"The bronze angel" looks like you've done it with charcoal or very-very soft pencil, interesting smooth effect you've caught. Face and pose of the girl are so peaceful, she is so calm and very angelic indeed. Only one thing I don't like is the cross hanging on her neck. I doubt that real angels need all these attributes, so for me it looks kinda weird :)

"Maggie old and young" is very touching. Especially I like the way little Mag holds big Mag's leg: that's so childish and nice :) Cheerful pic, thank you so much for it!

Maggiecute
Agreed with Bra, you drawing looks very calm and peaceful. It's also great that you draw in various styles and subjects. Her wings are well done, from their anatomy (they resemble birds wings a lot), to their details, feathers. I like how it turned out overall. The only nitpick is her visible hand, with realistic hand all fingers should have different length - for example, middle finger is the longest one, little finger is the shortest. On your pic, they all seem to have the same size. Aside from that... it's very good.

Er... Lisa badly needs feet on your picture. Maybe that's the main reason for the night to be bad ;)
But aside from that, it's good. Looks like a wallpaper picture... I see that you also tried to add a shadow falling down from Lisa's figure. In the cases like this (simple shadow casting), Photoshop can do it much better than hands. Just apply an effect to the layer with Lisa (Layer - Blending Options), check "Shadow" there, and play a bit with the properties. Hope it helps. :)

Nice one! Lisa's head has some of your style's attributes (i.e. farther eye bigger than the nearer one ;)), but everything else, especially her Buddhist posture and her dress/feet/sandals, is perfectly done. I love the pose on this latest picture, extremely cute and innocent looking.

Nice choice of colours and shadowing. Also as dag says have some of your unique attributes, the big pupils, the eyes, and a slightly bigger overbite. Also the non circular shape of the head which "leans" one way. No way saying these are bad, it adds charm and a different style to the drawing. :)

Both characters are very well drawn, but for some reason I liked that candle on the shelf on the background. :) Cannot explain why, but this is sure the detail you don't see often in the Simpsons surroundings. Some voodoo magic maybe? Or at least an attempt to predict someone's future job. ;)

Hi, Maggiecute! That one with sisters where Lisa with a small toddler is very cute, just look at her caring and cheerful face. Still I'm waiting she'll put away her sax and take a little one in her arms. (while Mag will be occupied with a destruction of the instrument :) )
Future Lisa looks nice, it's a joy to see her so delightful and such a young lady :) The last one doesnt work at me :(

I hope your cold will getting away soon :)

Awww! Thanks! the little toddler is Monica (My future Simpson) and she is alot like Lisa when she is older and this picture might explain why ;).

Maggiecute
The second sketch has strongly reminded me of some of Jake's art... which is good, I didn't know a better Simpsons artist for certain period in my life. As usual, your sketches show some lack of proportions ("kiddy" bodies), but that only adds to the good feelings about the drawings. So... keep it up, no need to change much! Well, if you can, add some more colors. :)

Gustavo, the coloring of that picture looks fantastic. I still like the girls' expressions, you managed to save them from the original picture. Great work - as always :p

Maggiecute, Diamond looks very good... heh, for some reason this name sounds "male" to me. But it's a nice picture, good job with the expression and clothes, those little locks on the haircut also work for the pic.

You two make me want to draw with your pics... must... resist... :)

Wonderful coloring to an already very good picture. The qualities of both artists melt together right in this piece of art... Heh, it's a real pretty scene that i'd like to see more of in Future Simpsons stories and pictures. Maybe Lisa *will* have a best frind in Maggie after all.  :)

Damn another one I missed....... sorry i did not comment on this one sooner!

I loved this picture when originally drawn, and now with the combined colouring skill og Gustavo.... the picture REALLY comes to life........ perfect!

The reg outlines on the shelves and the items on there makes them glow, I thought it looked strange at forst but looking at the picture It adds something to it... hard to describe!

And Diamond i just spotted too...... nicely drawn.  Cute clothes and good colours too.
