Lisa, the Simpson!

I assume you all know what a Round Robin is, but just in case... The rules are very simple:

I will start off a story and then who wants to make it go ahead simply adds his bit of writing in the Round robin thread. :) To avoid more people writing the same part without knowing, though, i suggest that we use this thread to organize,comment and say who wants to write next, to avoid double-postings. I know there's little chances of that happening, but i'd better avoid it.  ;)

So, if you feel like you want to add to the story, please say it here as soon as you can, so the other writers will take their turn.


Another thing: Its not important *how much* you add to the story, but to keep everything more easygoing and fun for everyone (because it introduces less "obligatory roads" ,
i think my starting post is already a pretty long one and i'd avoid to write parts bigger than that. But they can be as short as a paragraph or two.

Last, but not least: Read carefully the parts that were written before deciding to write one yourself.
This is very important to keep the story flowing without too many changes of plot and pace. It's your responsability to try and keep the characters and plot as close to the one estabilished as you can, even if new developement and plot twists are always welcome, if delivered with good motivation.  :)

Personally, i'd like he story to revolve mostly around Maggie and Lisa, without too many new characters, and possibly without it ending up in fantasy worlds or stuff like that. Let's try to keep it as close to the show as possible. :)
I aplogize in advance for the lenghth of the starting bit. I wanted to make it in a fanfic, but i have problems with long-going projects, so i guessed that i'd try this. I hope it'll be a fun thing to try.  :gigi:

So far so good :) Nice opening plot.

I cant think of what to add next so, better let sombody else do it. :D

First of all, to Dan: Please avoid to quote the previous message when yo uadd to the fic (i've edited your post to take the quote out so it looks more like a story), and always remeber to make a little post in this thread bfeore writing your part, as i stated in the rules above ;)

But let's skip to the good part!

GeorgeHarrison, i couldn't have even hoped for such a great continuation. :) You've kept up the mood and the characterization really well, adding quite a lot to the feeling of conflict between the sisters, with a very strong appearance from Lisa and a very believable rebel Maggie. Great part, indeed! I hope you'll write more!

Dantheman, that's a very great way to get the story moving indeed ;) Maggie reacted in a believable way, Lisa's concern about calling the parents was a nice touch, and thanks for keeping the story so open-ended. There are lots of possibilities here :)

So, anyonwe wants to take this on? 's fun!  :lisa:

I too want to write on this RR. Friday will be the day that I get my new internet setup at my new home, so when that day comes around, i will join in. :)

Just in case, Dan, I very much ask you not to use post quoting at all. :(
You could just reply, we'd somehow guess that you're replying to Marco. At least break the quote with the proper tags instead of just adding the bold text right into it... please. It's hard to read such "replies". No bad feelings, I just don't want this forum to turn into a mess. Let's keep the cleanness, okay? :)

Wonderful, GH, just wonderful :D You have a very nice grasp on the cahracters, very believable dialogue and your writing flows nicely. It was a pleasure to see you reffed "MY Sister, My Sitter". :) I'm really enjoying this little story.

I've always enjoyed writing, and an oppurtunity to join with people in writing about my favorite characters, in my favorite location, on my favorite forum, was just irresistable.

Anyone else plan on adding some more? I'd rather not double-post in an RR story.

Just posting a bit of a reminder for anyone out there interested in moving the story forward. I don't want to pressure anyone into replying, especially keeping in mind that LisaCon is keeping our artists and writers very busy. :)

Still, it would be a shame to see this story die so quickly. :(

It's interesting to read your entries, they are well-written and not too long. Good work. :)

To Marco and George - no need to promise :p judging on my experience, after giving away a promise, it becomes harder to work on something since it becomes an obligation. So I'm officially freeing you both from your words, add to the story when you feel you want to do that and not before. And I hope others will agree with me here. :)

Well you're a hero in my book :p Thanks for reviving the RR, I'm hopeful that maybe some new writers will join in now that we've brought it back up to full speed. :)

I un-stickied the thread so everyone will feel more motivated to keep it in the first page with constant "additions".

I say it again: people, don't be scared of the quantity of stuff written by other users. Even a paragraph or two is fine. if it makes the story go on :) Oh and...of course i mean all this to me too  :o

I'm glad to see this is still going ahead! Thank you very much all of you guys, you're doing a tremendous job. Vanguard20, your last addition sure puts some spice in the story :)
